Dairy Farm Worker Position October 2026 - January 2027

 

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and hard working person to join our milking team from early October until mid January to cover a period of staff leave.

 This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a progressive dairy farm where high cow welfare and productivity is the top priority in what we do. Here at Hillhead of Covington we milk our 400 cows in a modern Boumatic Rapid exit parlour. 

​

The job will involve milking and associated herd care tasks. Shifts, either early, day or late shifts, including weekends. Full time 40 hours per week or regular part time hours.

 

Agricultural experience is required. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with cows and has experience driving loader & skid steer. 

 

Accommodation is available for full time employees.  Our farm cottages are all heated with district biomass heating. 

 

Hourly rate of pay dependant upon experience, abilities and accommodation package. 

 

This would perhaps be a great opportunity for someone looking for dairy farm experience when travelling.

We would also welcome a self employed individual looking for a change over the winter.
