The Baillie Family

William and Jennifer moved to Hillhead of Covington in 1996.

William was brought up at Calla Farm Carnwath, a beef and sheep farm. After studying agriculture at SRUC he had a keen interest in dairy farming.

​

Jennifer was from Newmains Farm, Cleghorn, Lanark. Having been brought up on a dairy farm she was keen to do something different and went onto a career in Physiotherapy.

​

William started the dairy herd in 1997 with just 50 cows, this has built this up over the time they have been at Hillhead and they now have a 400 cow herd of health happy dairy cows.

​

The family now also consists of Abbie, Eva and Finlay who all help out with life on the farm and milk vending business.
